Debug: 4-Bit Ripple Carry Adder

MediumLogic CircuitDebug

A 4-bit ripple carry adder computes the sum of two 4-bit numbers and an initial carry-in.

Expected behavior:

The outputs Sum and Cout must represent the arithmetic sum A + B + Cin.

Simulation shows Sum = 0 and Cout = 0 for inputs A = 2, B = 2, and Cin = 0. The expected sum is 4. Inspect the circuit and correct the fault.

Constraints

  • Identify and correct the structural fault in the circuit.
  • Do not change the internal logic of the full adder sub-components.
